When I first saw Mackenzie's photograph of Sierra, I was in love!!

I knew it would be a wonderful cross stitch design if I could get someone to do it.  Mackenzie gave me permission and Lynsay gave me permission to try to get it charted.  I first contacted HAED about doing one, they promptly deleted me from all of their FB groups without giving me a reason why (that's what pissed me off).  So I then contacted Artecy and the rest is history!  I'm stitching this as a gift for Lynsay, so when it's finished it will wing it's way to Canada.

I've finished 5 pages of 16.  I always start at the bottom right corner and work my way across the bottom row of pages, then go back to the right and start the next row of pages.  My stitches just look and lay better.  I'll post another picture when I get the 6th page finished.

This is the 3rd time I attempted this one.  The 1st two I messed up somewhere.  I started the 3rd one in November of 2015 and finished January 23, 2016.  The thread is a dark maroon mystery spool that I got from Vikki of Hand Dyed Fibers and the fabric is a Silkweaver's Solo with some really pretty shades of pink, purple and burgundy.   I'm very pleased with it, now I just need to get it ironed, mounted and take it to Hobby Lobby and have it framed.

January 1, 21016

Well, here it is January 1st of 2016!!  I so hope this year turns out better than last year!  I spent part of the day working (I work from home).  Then I spent some hours cross stitching!!!  I'm seriously going to try and make this year a finishing year.

I have deleted everything I could find having anything to do with HAED (they pissed me off).  I have about 10 of their designs and am not sure I will do them.  Haven't made up my mind yet.

Right now, I'm about 3/4 of the way on Tam's Creations "Blackwork Challenge I".  I'm also working on an Artecy design "Sierra Supreme" (horse) and have 5 of 16 pages finished.  This is a gift for the lady that owned Sierra and it will be flying it's way to Canada as soon as I'm finished with it.

I'll post pics when I get Blackwork Challenge I finished and page by page on Sierra!

I decided I would pull out something I haven't worked on in a while, Swiss Topiary.  I'm going to finish page 6, then will pull something else out.  :)

January 13, 2012 - Update

WIPocalypse

So I've decided to join 2012 WIPocalypse to try and whittle down some of my WIP's. There is a link at the top of "My Favorite Blogs" list, if you're interested. You should really check it out!

Rotation GONE!

I just can't seem to stay with the rotation that I set up. So I've decided that I really want to finish HAED's Treasure Dragon Stocking (since I started last year and still haven't finished it for my son). I'll work more on it than anything else. But I do still have the SAL's that I need to work on too, so I'll work on those as I get tired of changing threads all the time.

Rotation revisited

Okay, already my rotation is "out the window". I forgot that some of these are on a deadline and you have to finish a part and show a picture before you can get the next part. So I'll be redoing my rotation over the weekend to include these. Plus I added the Wal D'Champs Rose Garden SAL from several years ago, so that one will have to be added also.

So far I have:
1. Rose Garden SAL - Wal D'Champs (have to finish a part before receiving the next)
2. Berlin Work Sampler - Sticklounge Group (same as above)
3. Heart Note Alley - Sticklounge Group (same as above.

I may work on #'s 2 & 3 as the parts come out and then work on Rose Garden in between since it's really big and I only have until September of 2012 to finish it, or pay for the parts. I may just pay for the parts and add it to the list. Don't know yet.

Here is the latest design that I'm stitching with the Sticklounge Group. It's called Sommerherz (or Summer Heart). I'm using DMC 3341 & 3345 on a light green linen that I got from HDF. One more part and this one is finished. :)

Here is the very first of Claire's "Freebie" designs from her blog. It's stitched on 18ct Aida with HDF silks in 3 colors. I decided to finish it as a small pillow.
